Let me back up a little, in order to get the explanation under way. BDSM is a compound (or continual) acronym that stands for a number of things. BD is for bondage and disipline, DS is for dominance and submission, and SM is for sadism and masochism.
Severalpeople today are disturbed by the terms described above, though there is nothing to be disturbed by.I personally am part of the BDSM life style, and can tell you from experience that it’s not about getting cruel (for those of us who are dominant), and it’s not about not knowing our self worth (for those of us who are submissive).
For some
persons, bondage can be a way of release for emotions that have built up on the inside much more than a long period of time, and I’m not just talking about for dominants (I am a submissive). My life is filled with constant daily stress, and I hold a whole lot of my anger and rage inside to prevent from hurting others, so I’m sure it’s a shocker that I’m a submissive. Well, when I feel pain, it makes sex additional satisfying foBeing a young stay-at-home mom, much of my time is spent on line when I’m not tending to my kids.Over the last two years, I’ve begun to notice a specific trend popping up within the media. That trend will be the controversy much more than distinctive artists, including Rhianna and Christina Aguilara, applying bondage themes in their music videos. These videos have brought on really a stir mainly because of how lots of people they have offended. A great deal of people today assume that S&M is a horrible thing that is practiced only by freaks, but it is simply not true.Let me back up a little, in order to get the explanation under way. Well, when I feel pain, it makes sex more satisfying for me. Also, when I’m getting disiplined, every spank or slap I feel helps sooth the built up anger that was inside me before. So BDSM can be seen as a form of therapy for some (as it is for me).I know above I stated that bondage can be a way of release for some, but that is only one explanation of the life style. What
quite a few do not understand, is that BDSM is also about one of life’s most important values: TRUST. For those who venture into this life style, you know trust is important. You have to be able to trust your partner to know his or her limits, so that no one is seriously hurt or killed as a result. Open communication is key to acheiving this. You must be open and upfront with you partner about what is or is not allowed. If you should decide later down the line to add new twists or adventures to the life style, then talk about them with your partner. New things can be exciting and fun Also, you will find more than time, that as you trust your partner inside the bed room (or dungeon room or whatever), simply because BDSM does require trust, you will also trust your partner additional OUTside the bed room in other aspects of your life r me. While lesbians and bisexual women are becoming
extra accepted by society, there are still other “alternative lifestyles” that continue to turn heads.
When one hears the term “alternative,” several think “different,” “abnormal” or even “wrong.” The truth is, alternative, especially when discussing alternative lifestyles, simply means going against the status quo. Since the status quo is a heterosexually normative lifestyle, here are several “alternative lifestyles” that might suit women better.Lesbians and Bisexual Women
One of the most obvious “lifestyles” thought of when coupled with the term “alternative” in terms of women are lesbians and bisexuals. Going against the assumed heterosexuality that generations before us have assumed to be the “right way,” lesbians and bisexual women who come out of the closet are seen as bucking the system. As
extra and much more men and women today fight for gay rights, however, and gay marriage becomes a possibility in at least portions of the U.S., being a lesbian or bisexual could not be as “alternative” as other lifestyles might seem.Polygamists and Polyamory
Mormons and the Church of Latter Day Saints are known for their polygamist practices.
With shows like “Big Love” and “Sister Wives” bringing polygamy into today’s limelight, this lifestyle is getting
extra press than ever before. It remains illegal, however, to marryadditional than one person, so if you are looking for a lifestyle that won’t get you thrown in jail, polygamy might not be for you. If you are interested in love between additional than two persons, however, the polyamorous lifestyle might be a good fit. Those who consider themselves polyamorous take multiple partners at a time, akin to swingers in numerous ways. Most of these people do not intend to wed, thus their alternative lifestyle could be considered somewhat extra acceptable than polygamy.Nudists
For those who enjoy their bodies and prefer living inside the buff, you might consider becoming a nudist, or naturist. The nudist lifestyle is completely contained in homes and resorts worldwide. Most nudists are secretive about their proclivities, enjoying their “alternative” lifestyle behind closed doors, or with others who have taken up the same lifestyle.
S&M
Those who are taken by the S&M lifestyle use whips and chains on their sexual partners to heighten their enjoyment.
Sadomasochism, or the infliction of pain on yourself and others, is certainly not a lifestyle for everyone. Similar to the world of nudists, this is another practice that is usually held in private or in underground clubs that provide the requisite tools of the trade. Such tools include whips, chains, gags, leather…This is not a lifestyle for the faint of heart.
